Clear Lake man facing attempted murder charges for intentionally hitting motorcyclists

(ABC 6 News) – A Clear Lake, Iowa man is facing attempted murder charges after police say he intentionally hit two motorcyclists with his vehicle.
Chad R. Gustin, 43, of Clear Lake, IA was arrested on May 30 on two counts of attempted murder, a Class B Felony, and one count of violating a no-contact order.
Clear Lake police said officers were called to the area of N. 8th Street and 3rd Ave. North on May 29 for a report of a person who had intentionally struck a motorcycle.
Police said the motorcyclist and their passenger were known to Gustin, and that no other members of the public were believed to be in danger.
Gustin is currently being held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
