(ABC 6 News) – The City of Rochester shared opening dates for Rochester’s pools and beaches, including a slight delay in Silver Lake Pool’s opening after a vandalism last week.

Silver Lake Pool, at 840 7th St. SE, was scheduled to open Monday, June 6. However, after a vandalism incident destroyed the main drain cover, it will likely open in early July.

Silver Lake Pool will be open noon to 5 p.m. seven days a week, through Aug. 14 after the replacement drain cover is received and installed.

Soldiers Field Pool (244 Soldiers Field Dr. SW) opens Saturday, June 4, at noon. It will remain open noon to 8 p.m. seven days a week through Aug. 28.

Both pools employ lifeguards during open hours.

Rochester pools charge $5 for youth ages 2-17, and $6 per adult. The Rochester Swim Club also offers 10-ticket bundles and season passes online.

Foster-Arend Beach (4051 River Rd. NE) and Cascade Lake Beach (88 23rd Ave. SW) are open for the season, through Labor Day. Admission is free, and there are no lifeguards on duty at any time.

Foster-Arend is open noon-8 p.m. seven days a week, and Cascade Lake is open 6 a.m. to dusk throughout the season.
