Rochester police on lookout for missing autistic teen
(ABC 6 News) – Rochester police are still searching for a missing Rochester teenager after a Monday night call from the boy’s father.
Caden Olson, 17, was reported missing at 9:41 p.m. May 30. The teenager is austistic and has other, unspecified medical concerns, Rochester police Capt. Casey Moilanen said.
Olson’s father told police his son had made comments about meeting his mother, who lives in Texas.
Olson hasn’t seen his mother in person for around nine years, Moilanen said.
On Monday, Olson called his father to tell him he wouldn’t be home after work — Olson was heading to the park to meet his mother.
It is possible Olson is with his mother, 47-year-old Rebecca Jo Rowe, Moilanen said, but Rochester police have been unable to contact her.
Olson is 5’9" and weighs about 130 pounds. He has brown hair and wears thick black glasses.
The teenager was last seen wearing a purple sweatshirt, blue jeans, and red/black Adidas sneakers.
Rochester police has searched Olson’s home area and Slatterly Park, where he likes to spend time.
Anyone with information related to Olson’s whereabouts can contact Rochester police at (507) 259-7012.
