Honkers lose to Express in final Sunday home game of season

(ABC 6 News) — The Rochester Honkers are in the midst of their last big game home stretch as the Northwoods League season winds down. If the Honkers want to make a playoff push.. they have to do it now.
Sunday, they were out at Mayo Field looking to complete the two-game sweep of the Eau Claire Express.
Honkers trailed 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth and continued their late-game rally trend when Michael Brown got a leadoff single . After cutting the deficit to one on a bases-loaded walk, the Honkers took the lead on an RBI double from Theo Hardy.
Unfortunately for the Honkers, the Express retook the lead in the 7th and held on for the 7-5 victory.
Honkers drop to 10-12 in the second half of the season.
