(ABC 6 News) — The Rochester A’s needed a win or at least a good showing to advance in the American Legion baseball playoffs as they took on Rosemount in the final game of pool play.
They managed only one run and gave up too many, as they lost to Rosemount 9-1 to finish 1-2 in pool play.
A’s miss out on advancing based on a tie-breaker by two runs.
Chatfield entered their match against Morris more optimistic. They jumped out to two runs in the bottom of the first inning but quickly gave up the lead. Morris went on to win 8-2 to eliminate Chatfield.
