Temps turn sharply colder
We’re seeing an arctic airmass return to the Upper Midwest this weekend extending into next week. As we progress there from Friday to Sunday, the general theme will be sub-zero overnight and single digits by day. The exact readings will vary a bit depending on daily conditions. But the consensus is the coldest levels we’ve seen since the end of December. At times the wind chill may reach the -20 to -30° range too.
How long does this stick around? The better part of a 7 day stretch will deal with this, perhaps even longer.
