Rochester woman airlifted after being thrown and kicked by a horse

(ABC 6 News) – A 42-year-old Rochester woman’s condition is unknown after being thrown from and then kicked by a horse.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s office, the incident occurred Saturday evening in Pleasant Grove Township.

Deputies found the victim in thick vegetation, and with the assistance of Mayo Clinic ambulance personnel and the Stewartville Fire Department, transported her by UTV to a nearby ambulance.

The ambulance took the victim to Maple Valley Golf Course where a Gunderson Air Medical helicopter was waiting, and airlifted her to Mayo Clinic St. Mary’s.

There is no update on the victim’s current condition.
