Temperatures in the negatives this week

(ABC 6 News) – With the temperatures expected to be in the negatives this week, people in the area are getting ready for the cold days ahead.
The last couple of weeks has been abnormally warm for January. The temperatures have remained above zero for the last 32 days until Saturday night.
While cold weather isn’t anything new for many this time of year, people in the community have been enjoying the warmer temperatures these last few weeks.
“It’s been warm but I know when I’ve been used to that in the past I’ve been fooled, it it was a harsh February,” said Isaac Marolt. “Just take it as it comes, I’ve enjoyed the hot weather but I’m not expecting it again so it’s okay being cold.”
Marolt lives in Rochester and walks to work. He says even though it will be in the negatives this week, it won’t stop him from getting where he needs to go.
With the temperatures expected to be in the negatives this week, people in the area are getting ready for the cold days ahead.
“I just wear two pairs of pants and a coat and then gloves. Then I put my gloves in my pockets and just walk. It’s a little cold but if I wear one pair of pants it would be too cold so the two pairs help that a lot,” Marolt added.
No matter how you choose to dress for the weather, it’s important you’re wearing a little extra for the next few days.
