(ABC 6 News) – The Albert Lea City Council has voted to demolish two vacant buildings in the historic downtown district, at 324 and 332 Broadway Ave. South.
Members of the council said in June parts of both buildings collapsed, creating a huge hazard for residents and neighboring businesses.
The council said it will need to work with the State Historical Preservation Office on the emergency abatement for the buildings.
