(News 6) – Four dead bodies were pulled from Vadnais Lake near St. Paul

Three children all under the age of five, and their mother were found dead in the lake after a chain of events that began Friday, (July 1st).

Police say the children’s father was found dead at a mobile home park in Mapplewood, Minnesota. Police determined that the mother had taken the children and began the search leading them to Vadnais Lake; Where they found the children’s shoes on the shore, prompting a land and water search by that ended on Saturday. (July 2nd)

According to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, the first child was found around 7:30pm on Friday (July 1st) and a second was found just after midnight.

The mother and the third child were found just before noon on July 2nd.

The bodies are being sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
