Thursday Snow, Depends on Tracking
We are watching two waves of snow for Thursday: one early in the day and the other late, carrying into Friday morning. The second wave is more likely to take place, and is also the lighter of the two. The first wave is also more likely to track east of I-35 and south of I-90. If we only see the second wave, then snow totals will fall around an inch or less. If we catch both waves (which is more likely at this time) then we could see up to 3″ around Cresco, Riceville, Preston, and Charles City to name a few communities. If the first wave tracks even more over our area, then we could face some much bigger impacts.
