Winning $50K Powerball ticket sold at St. Charles travel plaza
(ABC 6 News) – While nobody from Minnesota or Iowa won the $754.6 million Powerball jackpot on Monday night, one Minnesotan scored a big prize.
According to the Minnesota Lottery, a winning $50,000 ticket was sold at the Whitewater Travel Plaza, located at 2850 Whitewater Ave. in St. Charles.
The numbers matched four of the first five winning numbers plus the Powerball.
The winning numbers from Monday night’s drawing were 05, 11, 22, 23, 69 and the Powerball 07.
The $50,000 prize can be claimed by mail or at any Minnesota Lottery office.
Winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Under Minnesota law, the names and cities of people who win win $10,000 or more in the lottery are automatically considered private data and the identity of the winner can only be made public if the winner so chooses.
Meanwhile, one lucky person in Washington state overcame steep odds to win Monday night’s $754.6 million Powerball jackpot.
