(ABC 6 News) – The Salvation Army in Rochester held its second coat distribution of the winter thanks to the continued generosity of coat and other winter outerwear donations from the community.
Families in need were welcome to come in and find any coat and winter gear to help their child.
The Salvation Army does and will continue to work closely with Rochester Public Schools to best meet the needs of youth and families in Olmsted County.
“We thought it might be a good idea to give away some coats so that kids are able to stay warm throughout the rest of the Minnesota winter,” Major Candance Voeller said.
Another coat distribution is planned for October.
