Tracking A Mid-Week Mess
Back-to-back storm systems will make our weather a little more active for the middle of the week. Messy as well. The first storm system moves through Tuesday into early Wednesday morning. Highs on Tuesday are very mild, in the middle 40s, making it warm enough for all-rain. Upwards of a quarter to a half of an inch of rain can be expected by Tuesday night, before we see a switch to a rain/snow mix overnight. No travel impacts are expected either Tuesday or Wednesday, aside from maybe an isolated slick spot or two early on Wednesday. Our better chance for snow will be Thursday, however, once again, the track for the higher totals looks to miss us once again to the south & east. There will be a very tight gradient of 1-4″ along and south of a line from Mason City to Charles City to Winona. There is still time for this track to change, however any change will likely be to the SE.
