Sheriff: 11-year-old boy killed in ATV accident Wednesday afternoon in Mower County

(ABC 6 News) – The Mower County Sheriff’s Office said an 11-year-old boy was killed after an ATV accident Wednesday afternoon in rural Blooming Prairie.
Deputies were called around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon to an area near 330th St and 550th Ave for the crash.
When first responders arrived people at the scene were performing CPR on the boy who had been pinned under the ATV in a waterway for an unknown length of time.
Law enforcement took over trying to save the boy but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Brownsdale Police, Minn. State Patrol, Blooming Prairie Ambulance, Blooming Prairie Fire and Mayo One Air Ambulance all responded to the scene.
"All responders’ thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friend affected by this tragic accident," said Sheriff Sandvik in a release to media.
