Byron city council recognizes World Down Syndrome day

(ABC 6 News) – Tuesday, the Byron city council proclaimed March 21st as World Down Syndrome day during its meeting.
The meaning of the day is to represent when the disorder is detected.
Mayor Daryl Glassmaker signed the proclamation Tuesday and the city of Byron will now recognize World Down Syndrome Day starting this year.
This allows for an opportunity to enhance public education and awareness about the disorder.
