Hormel Foods appetizer wins ‘Product of the Year’ in Canada
(ABC 6 News) – A Hormel Foods appetizer took home the prize ‘Product of the Year’ in Canada.
The company’s Columbus Charcuterie Tasting Board won in the appetizer category earning the ‘Product of the Year’ seal.
‘Product of the Year’ currently operates in over 45 countries and was established 35 years ago. The purpose is to guide consumers to the best products in their market and reward manufacturers for quality and innovation.
“We are honored to be recognized for this innovative product that is helping to make charcuterie easy and approachable for everyone,” said Ali Martin, associate brand manager, international at Hormel Foods. “Charcuterie has really grown quickly in Canada, and the United States, and it’s a great, anytime appetizer or snacking item for all occasions.”
A group comprised of industry experts selects the finalists which are then categorized and judged through an online survey by thousands of Canadian consumers.
The winning products are awarded an internationally renowned red seal and company’s can use the ‘Product of the Year’ Canada seal in their marketing and communications for two years.
