One local delivery driver explained he is scheduling some time off this week to stay safe, as the region prepares for inches of snow.
“I’m a Door-dasher, and I was planning not to Doordash the rest of the week. So I made a long day of it today. I’m just anxious to get this one over with and get on with spring eventually,” said Eric Anderson, of this latest storm.
Truck said one thing they are watching out for on top of the snow, is the wind.
Brad Luimen has been truck driving for Dayton Freight for four years. He recalled one close call, where his trailer jack-knifed on slick roads.
“It was so windy one time that my trailer came around and I jack knifed, this was previous years ago. It was empty so I had no weight on it. The wind just grabbed my trailer and whipped it right around,” Luimen said.
