Multiple injuries, 1 serious, in two-vehicle Olmsted County crash
(ABC 6 News) – A crash in Olmsted County on Saturday evening left multiple people injured including one with serious injuries.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said the crash happened just before 7:00 p.m. on the 5000 block of Bamber Valley Rd. in southwest Rochester.
A vehicle lost control on ice causing it to spin several times before being struck by a second vehicle that was trying to avoid it. The driver of the first vehicle, an 18-year-old Rochester male, suffered minor injuries while a 19-year-old male passenger from Rochester had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Rochester Fire Department. He was seen by Mayo Clinic Ambulance and then airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious injures. The extent of his injuries are unknown.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 25-year-old pregnant Stewartville woman, was also transported to a local hospital with injuries. The extent of her injuries are unknown.
