Calm Next Couple Days
The rest of the work week is trending very calm, especially with how light the winds are expected to be heading into the weekend. Clouds will continue to persist. Although, we do get some clearing during the afternoon.
A system that is expected to bring potentially heavy snowfall to southeastern Iowa and northern Illinois will miss us entirely to our southeast on Friday. Although, we could see a quick flurry take place late Friday/early Saturday. If we do see something here, only minor accumulations.
Our next chance for more widespread winter weather is Sunday night. We’re looking at a rain/snow mix. Snowfall totals here will depend on how quickly temperatures drop into Monday morning. However, no more than 3″ is expected here at this time. Higher accumulations are more likely in southern Minnesota.
Temperatures continue to remain in the 30s for highs going forward, with Sunday trending to be the warmest day for the next week.
