Expect Heavy Snow & Impacts Thu-Fri

The Weather First Team continues to track another large winter storm moving through the area Thursday-Friday. The heaviest snow is expected to fall between 3-9 PM Thursday, with light snow showers bookending this timeframe, before wrapping up completely early Friday afternoon. When it’s over, a widespread 6-8″ of snow is expected throughout the Weather First area, with a few communities possibly exceeding 8″ by Friday morning. As expected, travel impacts with the snow alone can be expected, with that really being the case as the wind picks up Thursday evening/overnight. Watch out for snow-covered roads, tough-to-see conditions, and a few slick spots at times, the result of this storm.
