2023 Olmsted County seasonal load restrictions go into effect Friday

(ABC 6 News) – Olmsted County Public Works has announced that the 2023 seasonal load restrictions for county roads will go into effect Friday, Mar. 10.

The county said the weight limit will be posted at each individual county road.

The end of the seasonal load restriction period is no longer fixed at 8 weeks, according to the county. Instead, it is based on how weather is affecting roadway strength and will be monitored as conditions change. Therefore, the ending dates for seasonal load restrictions for each road will vary, and the restrictions will remain in effect when the roadway is posted.
