Chilly night, next storm system up
By mid-March standards, tonight will be chilly. Single digit temperatures materialize as the wind goes light and the sky stays clear. Wind chill will be minimally colder in the setup. Past that, the readings jump and by Wednesday, after nearly 36 hours of constant rise, we’ll be back into the mid 40s, despite clouds increasing.
A larger storm system is lining up for the end of the week. Thursday/Friday is the timeframe to watch. This one will surge in with a mild streak of rain. With time, temperatures cool and a changeover to snow is expected. That changeover time will greatly dictate on just how much wintry effects we see. That said, some accumulations are possible and some slippery travel correspondingly for Friday morning. There will also be a stronger wind to contend with too. Winter is not over yet.
