Multiple injured in three-vehicle crash near Oronoco
(ABC 6 News) – A three-vehicle crash near Oronoco on Wednesday morning left three people injured.
The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) said the crash happened just before 7:00 a.m. when a vehicle traveling eastbound on Highway 247 and two vehicles traveling westbound all collided near U.S. Hwy 63 east of Oronoco.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle, 35-year-old Adam Dornink of Pine Island, and passenger, 35-year-old Sarina Dornink, of Pine Island were both taken to Saint Marys Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of one of the westbound vehicles, 27-year-old Emily Scripture of Elgin, Minn. was also taken to Saint Marys University with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the other westbound vehicle was not injured.
The MSP says everyone involved were wearing seatbelts, and the road conditions were snow and ice covered at the time.
The MSP was assisted at the scene by the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Elgin Fire Department, and Mayo Ambulance.
