Hayfield defeats Badger/GB-MR in Class A quarterfinal, 63-58 in OT

(ABC 6 News) – The Hayfield Vikings girls basketball teams’ dream of winning a state championship will live to see another day.

The Vikings defeated Badger-Greenbush-Middle River (BGMR), in an exciting Class A quarterfinal game at Maturi Pavilion in Minneapolis, 63-58 in overtime.

The Vikings will now move onto the Class A state semifinals where they will play the winner of United Christian Academy vs BOLD on Friday, Mar. 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Arena.
