Byron 2022 property tax levy to possibly decrease
(ABC 6 NEWS) – The Byron City Council has agreed to lower the city’s property tax levy for 2022.
The tax levy is a part of the 2022 preliminary budget.
The estimated taxable market value of property in Byron has increased by 5.4% this year.
The total levy proposed levy is $4,728,898.
In the city newsletter for September, it is possible the council members may reduce the budget before the final budget approval.
The final budget will be approved in December.
