Freeborn County board votes to terminate county administrator 3-2

(ABC 6 News) – Tuesday, the Freeborn County Board of Commissioners voted to fire County Administrator Candace Pesch.

After a closed-door performance review that lasted more than two hours, the board voted 3-2 to terminate Pesch’s employment effective immediately.

Pesch was hired as County Administrator in October of 2022. Prior to that, she was the Director of Personnel and Human Resources for Freeborn County.
