UPDATE: Teenaged bomb threat suspect “kept in custody of his mom”

(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: A 14-year-old boy from Zumbrota faces a charge of terroristic threats after allegedly calling in a bomb threat to Apache Mall on Sunday.
According to Rochester police, the Zumbrota teenager called the mall and told staff he’d planted a bomb between 1:50 and 1:55 p.m.
Rochester police swept the mall with K-9s and did not locate any explosives, then identified the suspect.
The teenager remains in the custody of his mother, RPD captain Casey Moilanen said Monday.

UPDATE: RPD confirmed that no bomb was found in the Apache Mall.
They believe it was a hoax call and they have a suspect in custody.
There is no threat to the public or the mall.
