Stock up on sunscreen

The big weather picture is rather uneventful, so we’ll keep this short and sweet. A blocking pattern will keep things steady, warm, and bright this weekend, with a slight increase in warmth this weekend and continued sunshine. Some clouds will sneak overhead late Saturday into Sunday morning and patchy clouds will linger through the second half of the weekend. Even then, bright, warm, summer warmth continues.

More humid air arrives around the middle of next week as the ridge keeping things quiet starts to break down slightly. There is a very slim chance of rain later next week, but it’s not much to pin our hopes on, at least for now. Enjoy the quiet, Memorial Day weekend!
