Rochester man arrested in connection to Moorhead homicide
(ABC 6 News) – Rochester Police Department, along with the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, apprehended a suspect wanted for a fatal shooting in Moorhead, Minn.
Idris Haji-Mohamed, 26 of Rochester, is in custody for the murder of Abdi Abdi Friday night.
Officers apprehended Haji-Mohamed during a high-risk stop shortly after 1 p.m. Monday at 48th Street and Maine Avenue SE. He was taken into custody without incident and is being held on felony 2nd-degree murder charges in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center, awaiting extradition to the Clay County Correctional Facility.
Moorhead Police Department does not know the relationship between the victim and suspect but do not believe the murder was random.
The investigation is ongoing.
