UPDATE: 15-year-old male bicyclist in ICU, critically injured after being struck by SUV
(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE 7/6/2023 – A juvenile bicyclist who was injured after being struck by an SUV in Rochester on Tuesday night is in intensive care at Mayo Clinic receiving treatment for critical injuries.
According to a GoFundMe page, a 15-year-old male named Travanti was riding his bike with his cousins on his way to watch fireworks when he was struck by the vehicle on the 900 block of 3rd Ave. SE. Travanti was rushed to Mayo Clinic where he is receiving life-saving care.
Travanti is sedated in the ICU, where he is receiving care for a brain bleed, several fractures around his eyes, liver lacerations, a broken scapula and broken clavicle, according to the GoFundMe. Travanti is unresponsive to commands, but has opened his eyes and moved his limbs.
Travanti is currently being monitored for the pressure in his brain, as well as being intubated and receiving a feeding tube.

(ABC 6 News) – A juvenile bicyclist was injured after being struck by an SUV in Rochester late Tuesday night.
According to the Rochester Police Department (RPD), at approximately 10:00 p.m., an SUV collided with a juvenile male bicyclist in the 900 block of 3rd Ave. SE.
First responders on scene provided lifesaving efforts on the victim before transporting the male to Saint Marys Hospital.
The victims’ status is currently unknown.
RPD said the driver of the SUV did not show any signs of impairment.
