Rochester CAT assists in a bomb threat

(ABC 6 NEWS) The Rochester Fire Department went up to Faribault Saturday to assist the Minnesota State Fire Marshall’s office with identifying an unknown substance that was involved in a bomb threat.

They responded to 404 6 street northwest near the River Community Church.

Rochester’s Chemical Assessment Team gathered samples of an unknown substance and performed chemical identification tests to identify the hazardous material.

They were unable to determine the exact chemical, but they say, it was non-volatile and not explosive.

No one was injured.
