Highway 14 crash near Utica causes delays Friday morning

(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: The Winona County Sheriff’s Office said around 8:30 a.m. that County Highway 33 between Lang Dr. and Highway 14 north of Utica has reopened following an early morning crash.

The closure lasted over two hours.

The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) said the crash occurred just before 5:45 a.m. A milk tanker truck was traveling northbound on County Road 18 to County Road 33 at Highway 14, while a pickup truck was traveling westbound on Highway 14 when they collided in the intersection.

The milk tanker was driven by a 68-year-old male from Hokah, Minn. A 37-year-old male from Winona was the driver of the pickup.

No information was provided on either drivers condition or potential injuries. The MSP said that information will be released at a later time.

The MSP was assisted at the scene by the Winona County Sheriff’s Office, St. Charles Police, and Lewiston Fire and EMS.

(ABC 6 News) – A crash near Utica in Winona County on Friday morning is causing significant delays, according to the Winona County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

The WCSO says County Highway 33 between Lang Dr. and Highway 14 is temporarily closed due to the crash and are asking motorists to use an alternate route.

Utica is on Highway 14 between St. Charles and Lewiston.
