Man accused of sexually assaulting child arrested on Olmsted County warrant

(ABC 6 News) – UPDATE: A Rochester man accused of sexually assaulting a child under age 6 was arrested on a warrant earlier this week.

Dwayne Lamar Bowdry failed to appear for his pretrial hearing Sept. 25, according to Minnesota Court Records Online.

Olmsted County Court issued a warrant for his arrest, and Bowdry was taken into custody Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Olmsted County judge Lisa Hayne set Bowdry’s bail at $50,000 with or without conditions.
He is scheduled to appear for a pre-trial hearing May 28, 2024, followed by a jury trial June 3.

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester man accused of sexually assaulting a child is set to appear for his pre-trial Monday afternoon.

Dwayne Lamar Bowdry, 43, is charged with 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a child under nine years old.

The case dates back to Jan. of 2021, when Bowdry was accused of sexually assaulting and inappropriately touching a child in 2018.

According to court records, a boy said Bowdry had sexually assaulted him and inappropriately touched him in August of 2018, when the child was less than 6 years old.

Bowdry’s pre-trial begins at 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon with his jury trial starting on Oct. 2.
