Driver of school bus taken to hospital after Tuesday afternoon crash

(ABC 6 News) – Update: Rochester public information officer Amanda Grayson said the driver of the “van-style school bus” was taken to the hospital via personal vehicle following the crash on Civic Center Drive Tuesday.

One child was on the bus. Grayson said the child was not injured.

Drivers heading westbound on Civic Center Drive experienced delays Tuesday afternoon after a collision involving a car and a van-sized bus at the exit onto Highway 52.

Rochester police and tow trucks were working to move the vehicles and direct traffic around 4:30 p.m.

The two vehicles were towed away from the intersection around 4:50.
