Monkeypox confirmed in Olmsted County
(ABC 6 News) – The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting an increase in Monkeypox cases and the first reported cases in Olmsted County.

Health officials couldn’t provide an exact number for Olmsted County, but said the number is fewer than five. This is the first time Monkeypox has been confirmed in the ABC 6 News viewing area.
Statewide, the number of cases has increased to 108. 21 news cases in the past week.
The majority of cases remain in the Twin Cities with 79 cases confirmed in Hennepin County.
Health officials say the vaccine supply in Minnesota is extremely limited and only those at greatest risk are being vaccinated.
