Areas of Extreme drought persist

The U.S. Drought Monitor was updated today and shows continued, Extreme drought in parts of southeast Minnesota and, especially, northeast Iowa. The most persistent area of Extreme drought is from Mason City eastward to Decorah and northward into southern Mower and Fillmore counties. The next chance for a soaking rain moves in the middle of next week.
