NWS Twin Cities: 4 confirmed tornadoes on Saturday, 1 reported Sunday night

(ABC 6 News) – It was an active weekend of weather across the state with several tornadoes confirmed in the Twin Cities metro on Saturday according to the National Weather Service.

Preliminary damage survey’s were conducted by a team of National Weather Service – Twin Cities meteorologists, and they confirmed 4 EF0 tornadoes touched down on Saturday night.

Burnsville/Crystal Lake (Dakota County): multiple trees snapped from the southside of Crystal Lake to near Crystal Beach.
Apple Valley (Dakota County): several large trees uprooted and structure damage from falling trees.
Eagan (Dakota County): concentrated tree damage.
West St. Paul (Dakota County): numerous large trees snapped or uprooted.

Survey teams have found EF0 tornado damage in southern Ramsey County. Additional brief EF0 tornadoes occurred in Dakota County in Burnsville, Apple Valley, Eagan, and West St. Paul. Info on those tornadoes will be available shortly. #mnwx pic.twitter.com/Z1pigzYIlG

There was also a preliminary report of a tornado touch down by “trained weather spotters” just west of Prinsburg in Kandiyohi County at approximately 8:03 P.M. on Sunday night.
