Sharply colder, rain, snow mix possible this weekend

For several days now we’ve been talking about a major chill that is expected to grip the area heading into the upcoming weekend which will send temperatures well below-average.

A potent cold front will slide through on Friday morning ending any precipitation and sending temperatures crashing.

Temperatures likely be in the 50s and 60s overnight Thursday into Friday morning. Sometime during the Friday morning hours the front will push through with temperatures plunging into the 40s.

A brisk northwest wind gusting to 30 mph will lead to wind chills in the 30s.

A system will track through on Saturday leading to the chance for rain, and with cold air in place there is the chance for some snow to mix in. Additional rain and snow showers are also possible on Sunday as high temperatures are expected to be in the 30s and 40s.
