Gloomy Wednesday, followed by soggy Thursday

Clouds will remain thick overhead on Wednesday leading to a gloomy and dreary day before rain enters the weather picture leading to a soggy Thursday.

Clouds, some occasional light mist or sprinkles will make for a dreary Wednesday despite mild temperatures for late October in the 50s and 60s.

Rain develops late Wednesday night and will last through the day Thursday before ending Friday morning. Moisture content is running high for this time of year which will lead to heavy downpours at times. Temperatures on Thursday are expected to be mild again in the 60s.

Rainfall amounts of 1-2″ are possible across much of the area. Locally higher amounts are possible especially in southeast Minnesota where areas near and north of I-90 have already received 2-5″ since Tuesday.
