Salvation Army Good Sam Clinic launches Cardiology Clinic with support from Mayo
(ABC 6 News) – The Salvation Army’s Good Samaritan Medical Clinic in Rochester announced on Thursday they are launching a Cardiology Clinic with the support of Mayo Clinic.
The Salvation Army’s Good Samaritan Medical Clinic is an acute care and long-term treatment clinic for uninsured persons in Olmsted County.
In collaboration with the Cardiology Department at Mayo Clinic, the Good Sam Medical Clinic will now host a once monthly Cardiology Clinic to serve patients with, or at risk of, heart conditions.
The Cardiology Clinic now takes place on the second Wednesday of every month.
Mayo Clinic recently announced a $100,000 grant to the Good Sam Medical Clinic in addition to their commitment to a $20,000 Red Kettle Match the week before Christmas in Olmsted County.
“We are truly blessed to have the support of Mayo Clinic,” said Major Cornell Voeller, Corps Officer in Rochester, MN, “They give of their time, they give of their treasures, and they are a critical resource when it comes to educating this community about the services being provided at the Good Sam. I cannot begin to express the gratitude we feel.”
