(ABC 6 News) The Med City Mover program has officially come to an end.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation launched the pilot program with hopes to advance the operation of automated vehicle technology.
The two shuttles were driverless and traveled up to 15 miles per hour while driving downtown.
The project was met with mixed feelings by the community.

Rochester Mayor Kim Norton didn’t make mention of trying the program again in the future but believes this was a learning experience for the city.
“We could learn about how a driverless shuttle would work in a city like Rochester, in a downtown area in the winter months, with lots of snow and lots of construction here in Rochester, so we learned a lot and it had its last day yesterday,” said Mayor Kim Norton.
After a year-long trial, Wednesday was the last day the vehicles were circulating downtown.
