Former President Trump visits Iowa

(ABC 6 News) – Former President Donald Trump was in Des Moines, Iowa Saturday for a "Save America" rally.
Organizers say tens of thousands of people attended the rally where Trump spoke alongside several other notable Iowa Republicans including Gov. Kim Reynolds and Sen. Chuck Grassley.
It’s been a year and a half since Trump was last in Des Moines and it’s his first time back since losing the election.
"Congressional Republicans must stand strong. This is not a time for Republicans to fold. To walk away. To quit, to be afraid. Whatever happens, happens. They have to be strong," Trump said.
According to a recent poll from the Des Moines Register, Trump currently has the highest approval rating in Iowa ever.
"In this Des Moines Register poll showed that President Joe Biden is at a record low, 31 percent," Trump said at the rally.
Trump has not declared a run for the 2024 presidential election, but supporters in Iowa Saturday are excited about a potential candidacy.
