UPDATE: Man found dead on ‘piece of equipment’ in Waseca identified
(ABC 6 News) – The man who was found dead on a piece of equipment inside a building in Waseca has now been identified as 35-year-old Brian Sommers.
Sommers was found injured and unresponsive on some equipment Tuesday afternoon in a building off of State Street.
Sommers’ online obituary says the father of four most recently worked for the Waseca County Highway Department and was proud to drive a plow truck.
It is unclear how Sommers died but his obit says his family “meant absolutely everything to him and made him so proud.”

(KSTP) – Waseca police say they are investigating the death of a man who was found injured while “unresponsive on a piece of equipment.”
The department said on its Facebook page that its officers, along with other emergency services, responded to the 1500 block of South State Street just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The man reportedly died from his injuries.
Police say they are not releasing any further information related to the investigation at this time.
