(ABC 6 News) – A majority of states expect to see a rise in wind and solar energy capacity by 2035, according to a Princeton study.

“Just about every state in the country is going to see a pretty significant increase in solar and wind because these incentives are widespread and some parts of the country have better wind resources,” said Eric Larson, a senior researcher with the Energy System Analysis Group at Princeton University.

But Princeton researchers also found it still the initiative won’t cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030, a goal set by the United Nations.
