Cold start to weekend, warming next week
Arctic air will linger to start the weekend, however it’ll slowly retreat beginning on Sunday as warmer air begins to nudge in which will carry over through next week with temperatures returning to above average.
A WIND CHILL ADVISORY is in effect Friday night through mid-morning Saturday as wind chills are expected to drop into the range of -20° to -30°.
High pressure will build on Saturday leading to a quiet, bright and sunny day, but it’ll still be cold with high temperatures in the single digits. Temperatures will fall back below-zero Saturday night before a blustery south wind takes hold on Sunday allowing temperatures to warm to near 20° for a high.
The warming continues all throughout next week with high temperatures generally in the low-to-mid 30s and night lows in the 20s and 30s.
