Plainview woman injured after crashing into tree Saturday afternoon

(ABC 6 News) – A Plainview woman is in the hospital after crashing into a tree in Winona County on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, it happened in Whitewater Township around 1:58 p.m.

Tanya Traaseth, 48, was traveling north on Highway 74, when she entered a ditch and struck a tree, according to the crash report.

Traaseth sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Saint Marys Hospital for care.

She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The Winona County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Clinic Ambulance assisted at the scene.
