Mild week with precipitation chances ahead

The Arctic air is now a thing of the past, as more mild Pacific air has arrived and that will keep temperatures running above average for the foreseeable future.

Moisture will continue to move in throughout the week leading to bouts of clouds and precipitation chances as multiple waves of energy move through the area.

Early in the week, the bulk of precipitation will stay to the southeast, however there is a small chance of a wintry mix (freezing rain/sleet/snow) on Tuesday morning with warmer air aloft moving over the colder air at the surface.

Another wave will lead to the chance of a wintry mix Wednesday morning with a changeover to rain. A stronger wave moving over the area Wednesday night into Thursday once again leading to the chance of a wintry mix before a changeover to rain by afternoon.

Temperatures will generally be in the low-to-mid 30s for highs and 20s and 30s for lows during the week which leads to the chance of multiple precipitation types.

The week will end dry with above average temperatures in the 30s.
