“Make Hunger History” campaign launched
(ABC 6 News) – A Minnesota non-profit has revealed bold new plans to cut hunger in half for all Minnesotans.
Today, Summer Harvest Heartland laid out their new campaign to “Make Hunger History” by 2030.
Organizers say this is the hungriest year in Minnesota’s recent memory.

In order to make a change, Heartland organizers say there needs to systemic change involving businesses and community leaders, policy makers and the Hunger Relief Network.
“We’re gonna work across the spectrum of things that we can deliver, we’re gonna measure it, we’re gonna hold ourselves accountable and we are going to reduce hunger in Minnesota,” said Governor Tim Walz.
Both Minnesota-based companies Cargill and Target, committed to donate $10 million dollars to the initiative.
