Mild Wednesday ahead with near-record highs
The winter weather continues to largely escape the area as a push of more mild air will lead to near-record high temperatures on Wednesday.
High pressure positioned to the south will lead to a quiet day under a mostly sunny sky. The flow around the high pressure is clockwise, so the wind will be out of the southwest which will help drive in the mild air.
High temperatures are expected to be near-records in the upper 40s to mid-50s which is more than 20° to 25° above average for late January and more typical of late March and early April.
